Weeks 3, 4, & 5 – Winter Term!

It’s absolutely CRAZY how quickly our Winter Term is flying by.  As we are preparing to sing at ICCA on Saturday (!!!), some of our other members are also exercising their other talents around campus.  During Week 4, Rachel, a soprano and the Social Media Consultant for SP, made her NCC stage debut in the world premier of Far From Normal, a student written and directed play written by Jesús Martinez, a junior here at NCC.  Some of us were lucky enough to come out and support her during the weekend that her show was running, and we were able to snag a photo after the show.  We are so proud of her and the hard work she put into making her first show at NCC so great!

From L – R: Nathan, Ruth, Anthony, Rachel, Josh, Brad, Luke, Marc, Deanna 🙂

Rachel isn’t the only one who is involved in the theatre department this term; appearing in Once On This Island during Week 8 are Abby, Marc, and Nathan.  We are so excited to go and cheer them on!!

Additionally, this past weekend was the New Student Showcase in which Abby sang a beautiful rendition of Second Hand White Baby Grand from SMASH.  We loved getting to come and support her as she showcased her talents as a first-year student.  Congrats on a great performance, Abby!  A video of her performance can be found on our Instagram, linked here!

We are coming into the last few rehearsals before we make our ICCA debut, and we could not be more excited or ready to take the stage for the first time as a competing group!  Stay tuned for a sneak peak at one of our songs that we’ll be singing this weekend. 😉

Much love,

Sonata Problem
