Enrica Uhlen

Year in school: Sophomore

Major: English and Broadcasting

Voice Part: Mezzo

Enrica is so happy to be in Sonata Problem to start off her North Central experience. She has been singing ever since she was a baby and started competing when she was four years old. Enrica has always loved the idea of showcasing everyone’s talents. She started choir in sixth grade and became the lead in her junior high school’s musical right off the bat, which launched her love for musical theater. In seventh grade she was introduced to the jazz scene allowing her to sing with her jazz ensemble and has been singing jazz ever since. Not only does Enrica love to sing, but she also loves to dance. She’s on North Central’s Dance Team, but her favorite style of dance is tap. She loved tap and rhythm so much that she ended up playing percussion in school for four years. One of the reasons why she picked North Central College is because of the incredible music program they have. She knew she would be in good hands. In high school, she was part of choir and sang with the school’s jazz ensemble as well. Enrica was able to compete and showcase her singing ability in the Miss Illinois Pageant. She’s super excited to spend this coming year in Sonata Problem!
